RETIREMENT PLANNING
FEDERAL EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (FERS)

To assist Federal employees, whether early or mid-career, in understanding their benefits and the elements associated with planning ahead for federal retirement. Many late career employees have stated they wished they had attended this seminar earlier in their career. Provides the information and tools that will help attendees calculate retirement benefits and enable knowledge-based planning decisions.
THRIFT SAVINGS PLAN
The Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) is a tax-deferred retirement savings and investment plan offering the savings and tax benefits similar to many private corporation 401(k) plans. This session will provide information on the value of the TSP and explain its role as one of the critical components of an employee's retirement funding. Discussion will include the various TSP investment funds, employee contributions, tax implications and other risks, rewards, and performance aspects to enable knowledge-based planning decisions.
PRE-RETIREMENT PLANNING
FEDERAL EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (FERS)/CIVIL SERVICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (CSRS)
Provides up-to-date employee benefit information for FERS or CSRS employees who are considering retirement within approximately 5-10 years. Covers all aspects of employee benefits with a heavier focus on retirement transition and understanding critical decisions relating to retirement and estate planning. Presents details as to how the choices made today may impact their financial and legacy goals in retirement.
NO COST PERSONAL BENEFIT ANALYSIS AND CONSULTATION
A no-cost personal benefit analysis and consultation are available at the employee's request. Individual circumstances, financial goals, and family structures vary. A private consultation provides a benefit analysis that is focused and specific to the individual. In-person instruction and additional class dates may be available with a 25 attendee minimum within your classroom space. You may call us directly at 804-937-0138 or 804-928-9034 to request in-person proposals or if you have questions.
Cancellation Policy: We understand plans change and you may need to cancel your registration. To receive a full refund, we ask that you cancel at least 7 days prior to the class date. You also have the option to provide an alternative attendee. Cancellations made less than a week prior to the start date will require payment with the understanding that the enrolled individual(s) may attend the class at a later date or the organization may transfer that registration to another employee.

Serving Federal Employees Navigating Benefits
JFW Capital is a veteran-owned small business founded by Yulando Wallace. For over 20 years Yulando has provided financial advisory services for individuals, families, and employees to help them pursue their financial goals. He established JFW Capital to support training federal employees about their benefits, with a focus on retirement planning education.

Yulando joined the United States Marine Corps in 1982. He served as an infantry sergeant and a combat engineer during his tenure and served in Japan, Okinawa, and throughout the Continental United States. He provided security for President Reagan at Camp David and the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon. He received the Presidential Service Badge and Certificate while at Camp David. He served in the reserves and was honorably discharged.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Baltimore in 1991. He is series 7, series 63 and series 66 licensed. He is a fiduciary and is licensed in financial securities, insurance and annuity services. He has a passion for assisting others in achieving their long-term financial and retirement goals.

Through extensive and continual formal training, Yulando is proficient in the various aspects of federal benefits including social security, survivor benefit, the FERS retirement system, federal employee group life insurance, retirement income planning and other areas of retirement planning that affect federal employees. As a Federal Employee Benefits Specialist since 2004, Yulando has helped thousands of federal employees prepare for a comfortable retirement.
